This book seems like a great idea. Unfortunately, I didn’t read the reviews before buying and found out today the hard way with my son that these “stickers” don’t stick. They are like the old Colorform “stickers” that are made of vinyl. They stick fine to each other and to the sheets they come on, but not to the book pages, which contain the scenes from the book. I planned to use this book for my son when we travel, but I don’t think that will really be feasible, given how this item works. My advice: Save your money.

You can imagine the joy and excitement when a little girl picks out a new book, especially a sticker book, and super especially one based on her new favorite movie.

Disappointment then has a great height to fall from when all the stickers fall off the page and do not stick even a little. My little girl kept saying “they’ll work, they’ll work, I’ll get them to work somehow” because she felt so strongly about her new book. It really broke my heart a little when she finally came to me and said “They keep falling off, no matter how hard I try”.

Stay away from this book please.

This was my first experience with vinyl stickers, so I am not sure what else to compare them to. As a first time user, I would say that they definitely do not work very well, and do not adhere to the pages, even with a “sticky” slightly moist finger. My son found it the most interesting to peel the stickers off their original pages. Once they were all off and scattered among various pages in the book, the floor, and the couch, he lost interest. Now, when he picks the book to play with, he will take a few stickers and try to stick them on to the pages and they don’t seem to stick very well, if at all. I end up laying them all in a random section and slamming the book shut to keep them all in there. I think we will stick with traditional adhesive stickers.

My Daughter LOVES Toy Story and I thought this book would be such a great gift for her since she would be able to reuse the stickers and place them on the pages over and over again. Well, to my disappointment, the stickers don’t stick very well on the pages. The stickers stay well on the backing they came in, but the pages are not made of the same material and after the first time most of the stickers slide right off unless you press the sticker with a lot of pressure, which shouldn’t be necessary for a kids book. It’s a great idea but lacks on design.
