My kids love this book. They like reading it, and also looking at the movies on the wall at bedtime after the lights are out. The story itself is a little choppy, but the kids don’t mind. The pictures and movies are a lot of fun, and even my three year old can handle the movie projector and tell his own stories. Well worth the purchase to me – one of our most read books/played with toys!

Have a 4 and 5 year old. They both loved it and enjoyed the book along with being able to run the projector. Projector itself is a bit on the flimsy side, but the idea is nice and it is a little different from the norm. Now If I can only get them to stop fighting over the projector :)

After noticing my almost five year old daughter was unusually quiet this past weekend, I did a quick search of our house. Unable to find her while calling for her and trying to avoid completely panicking, I noticed her closet door shut (which was odd). Turns out; she had shut herself in her closet with this projector. It happened several times over the weekend and she even included my one year old in on the fun (its rare to see them sharing a toy). So say what you want about picture quality (my husband seemed to be the only one to get sharp images with a distance of several feet), or flimsiness of projector itself (the components are easy to take apart). Because this toy held her interest which some of the priciest toys can not claim. It was easy enough for her to work independently. And when she had a friend over, it was the first toy she wanted to show off. With TS3 coming out, this toy is a sure thing (and a pretty great buy with batteries included).

Just received this yesterday. This was a very neat little package. My troop of little ones was excited about the Toy Story book and the projector. They are even more excited about the movie coming out in June.

The projector works fine, but the quality of the images are a little grainy, but are good enough for the children. It is small and uses flashlight and reel technology.

It has 6 discs that load into the top and follows along with the story.

Very cute and creates an interactive story with visual aides as you read along. I think the children really enjoyed it. But I think my two year old enjoys it the most. He seems to be very intrigued with the control he haS over the image.

This is a big hit in our house. I’m sure they will enjoy this throught the summer and will want more book and reels to go with it.

The packaging is really cheap on this, but the toy is neat. The projector is brighter than I thought it would be, and although you need a pitch black room to make out the pictures, the kids think it’s a great flashlight without the slides in and they have a blast with it. However, I want to point out that the red plastic tray with the slides in it is held on with the weakest glue on the planet. When you open it for the first time, you need to remove two pieces of tape very carefully, and then carefully remove a plastic cover and small piece of paper. Then you need to have adult children because any kid will still rip the tray off the book. So either plan on gluing it back on with Gorilla glue, or just assume that it is coming off and have a plan for what to do with the slides so they don’t get lost!
