Sunday Burner and Ben's Lunch: How Our Live Auctions Work

Our store and our eBay listings run around the clock. The live auctions are where the fun is. Twice a week we go live on Facebook, put pieces on the table one at a time, and let the room decide what they are worth. Here is how the two shows differ and how to make sure you never miss one.

Sunday Burner: Sunday, 6 pm to 9 pm ET

The weekend show. Three hours on Sunday evening featuring rare and vintage collectibles, and the place where the hard-to-find pieces and special editions tend to surface. If you are chasing a specific grail, this is the auction to watch, and it is the one most of our regulars plan their Sunday around.

Ben's Lunch: Wednesday, noon to 3 pm ET

The midweek show. A lighter, faster three hours over lunch, good for picking up new additions to your collection without waiting for the weekend. Plenty of people watch on a phone from a desk. We will not tell your boss.

Where the auctions happen

Both shows stream live on our Facebook page. That is also where the schedule lives, where we post what is coming to the table, and where you sign up for notifications so your phone taps you before we go live.

How to get notified

  1. Open Ben's Toy Chest on Facebook and follow the page.
  2. Turn on notifications for the page so you hear about live videos, not just posts.
  3. Watch for the preview posts before each show. They are the best way to know whether the piece you want is on the table that night.

What comes across the table

The same inventory you see on this site and in the store: carded and sealed figures, graded pieces, loose figures with their accessories, vehicles, playsets and memorabilia from the 70s, 80s, 90s and beyond. Star Wars, G.I. Joe, TMNT, Masters of the Universe and Transformers show up nearly every week; the rest rotates with what we have bought recently.

After the show

We are based in Brooksville, Florida, and ship nationwide, with the same professional packing whether the piece came out of an auction or the store. If you have questions about a piece you won or a piece you saw, send us a message or call 352-797-2003.

Have pieces you would like to see on the table?

A lot of what we auction started as a collection someone sold us. If that is you, tell us what you have. Single pieces or entire collections, sealed or loose, graded or not.
