Sell Your Star Wars Collection
Kenner through the modern era. Loose, carded, boxed or graded, from a single figure to a room full of them.
What we look for in a Star Wars collection
The 1977 to 1985 Kenner run is the heart of the market and where most of the value in an inherited collection sits. What we check first:
- The card back. A figure on a 12-back or 20-back card is a different piece from the same figure on a 79-back, even though the figure inside is identical. Photograph the back of every card.
- First-wave figures. The original twelve were made before anyone knew the line would work. There are fewer of them.
- The bubble. Clear and tight, or yellowed, crushed and lifting at the edges. This moves the number more than most people expect.
- Accessories on loose figures. Lightsabers, capes, blasters, Leia's blaster, Jawa cloth cloaks. A complete loose figure is worth several times an incomplete one.
- Vehicles and playsets with their parts. The Death Star, the Millennium Falcon, the AT-AT. Boxes, inserts and the little parts that came in the bag all count.
Modern era matters too. We buy Power of the Force, vintage-style reissues, Black Series and the graded pieces alongside the Kenner run.
The pieces people do not realize are valuable
In a collection that has sat in a garage since the nineties, the money is usually not on the display shelf.
- Mail-away figures and the mailers they came in
- Foreign releases with different card art, particularly Glasslite, Palitoy, Meccano and Lili Ledy
- Vinyl-cape Jawa, blue Snaggletooth, Yak Face and the other short-run figures
- Unpunched cards. Whether the hang tab was ever cut off is a real difference
- The original shipping boxes and store display material, which almost always got thrown out
If you are not sure what you have, you do not need to be. Photograph it and we will tell you.
