Sell Your ThunderCats Collection

LJN 1985 to 1987, plus the later lines. Loose, carded or boxed, and complete or not.

What we look for in a ThunderCats collection

The LJN run from 1985 to 1987 is short, which is exactly why it is collectible: the line was cancelled before the later waves shipped in any quantity.

  • Late-wave figures. The characters released last were made in the smallest numbers and are the pieces most likely to be worth serious money.
  • Battle-Matic action. Whether the lever-action mechanism still works.
  • Accessories. The Sword of Omens, claw shields, weapons and the small companion figures that came bagged with several of the characters.
  • Vehicles and playsets. The Cat's Lair, the ThunderTank, the Mutant vehicles, with their original parts and stickers.
  • Carded examples. LJN cards were large and thin, so sharp corners and an uncrushed bubble are genuinely uncommon.

We also buy the 2011 and later lines and the modern collector releases.

Why ThunderCats is worth photographing carefully

This is one of the lines where a family clearing out a collection most often undervalues what they have. A short production run means ordinary-looking figures can be scarce, and the difference between a common character and a late-wave one is not obvious unless you know the line.

  • Photograph every figure, not just the ones you recognize
  • Keep the small companion figures and weapons with their owners
  • Photograph the back of any card
  • Do not discard vehicle parts, even broken ones

Common questions

Where can I sell my ThunderCats toys?

We buy ThunderCats collections nationwide, loose or carded, complete or not. Send photos through the form on this page and we will tell you what you have and what we would pay.

Are old ThunderCats figures worth money?

Some are worth a great deal. The LJN line ran only from 1985 to 1987, so the later characters were made in small numbers. Condition, completeness and whether the figure is still carded all matter.

Do you buy incomplete ThunderCats figures?

Yes. Most loose figures arrive missing a weapon or a companion figure. Send them anyway, and send the loose accessories separately if they are in a bag or a drawer.

Do you buy the newer ThunderCats lines?

Yes, including the 2011 line and the modern collector releases, alongside the LJN originals.
